Here, lingerie became associated with sex symbols. By the time the 1960s and 1970s hit, the sexual revolution came and lingerie was now a symbol of sex. Since then lingerie has become more and more accessible and comes in a variety of forms. But now, lingerie is empowering for women, allowing her to gain confidence and more.
